Vaxart (NASDAQ:VXRT) recently reported preliminary results from phase 1 study of its tablet COVID-19 vaccine candidate. Although there were some positive data in those results, many investors worried about the failure of the experimental vaccine to produce neutralizing antibodies in study participants. The biotech stock plunged after the clinical update. In this Motley Fool Live video recorded on Feb. 3, 2021, Fool.com contributors Keith Speights and Brian Orelli answer a viewer's question about whether Vaxart still has a future....
....Speights: I agree with you. I think it's too strong of a statement to say Vaxart has no future. I don't think that's necessarily the case. They do have other pipeline candidates. They've had some promise with another experimental tablet vaccine. It's just still really early, so I wouldn't write off the company, but I do agree with you that after today's news, the future for Vaxart doesn't look nearly as promising as it might have before today....

Eigenartig ist aber, dass eine: VAXART Inc. auch eine Short-Position hält. Wie erklärst Du dir das?
Das kann ich mir nicht erklären und ich weiss nicht wo Du das gesehen hast. Ich bin auch nicht so gut orientiert wie Du und Marleau, ich fände es einfach super wenn das mit den Tabletten erfolgreich wäre! Darum war ich sehr interessiert an Vaxart. Im nachhinein hatte ich Glück das mein Auftrag nicht erfüllt wurde, wie ich oben geschrieben hatte - ich bin mit anderem unter Wasser und da war mir das Risiko zu gross.
Jedenfalls wünsche ich Euch nur das Beste!

...es ist schon ein Kreuz mit diesen Shorts. Vielleicht kommt ja ein short squeeze, nur sicher ist es natürlich nicht. Jedenfalls wünsche ich den Investierten.

Gratuliere Marleau! Hatte gestern einen Auftrag platziert, der wurde leider nicht erfüllt. Jetzt noch auf den fahrenden Zug aufspringen ist mir etwas zu heiss, vor allem da ich bereits schon unter den Rädern liege mit einer anderen Aktie welche ebenfalls so vielversprechend ist. Jedenfalls wünsche ich Vaxart und Dir viel Erfolg.

....ich habe den Auftrag kurz vor dem Handelsstop (das wusste ich ja nicht) plaziert, der wurde natürlich nicht erfüllt - danach ging es ja gleich zügig nach oben.
Nun ist es eben nicht optimal, bin trotzdem zufrieden und nochmals herzlichen Dank an Ghost und Dich und alle - auf ein super 2021!

In diesem etf bin ich auch drin mit dem Gedanken breiter abgestützt zu sein ---> Resultat fast 50% Verlust. Das Dumme an solchen
Verlusten ist um wieder eben zu sein muss das Teil 100% steigen - aufwärts ist immer viel mühsamer. Hemp Stocks kaufte ich unter
anderem weil sie mir dieses Geschäft um vieles lieber ist als die grossen Multis mit ihrer Ausbeute in Dritte Welt Ländern, Waffen Industrie,
Chemie und Pharma mit Ihrer Schädigung der Umwelt und der Patienten usw. usw.
Werde drauf hocken bleiben
