    Okay, the three day weekend (for American readers) is officially over.


    The good news is that we've got a huge, jam-packed 4-day week coming.


    Some of the highlights (estimates via Yahoo Finance):


    * Tuesday: Case-Shiller: Housing has been getting worse and worse, and this latest reading (for March) is expected to be quite ugly (est. -3.4%). Also we get Chicago PMI (est. 62.5), which, given the string of poor regional surveys has the potential to be a major bummer.


    * Wednesday: It's jobs week, so we get ADP (est. 170K) and Challenger, though the market reacts very little to either one these days, given that in recent months they've not done much to adequately forecast the jobs number on Friday. More importantly at 10:00 AM comes ISM (57.6), which again could be rather weak.


    * Thursday: Initial claims numbers (est. 413K) will obviously be closely watched for the trend, but coming a day ahead of the Non-Farm Payrolls report might be a little less consequential than in other weeks. Also on Thursday comes Factory Orders and Productivity -- all good stuff.


    * Friday: HERE IT IS. The May Jobs Report (est. +185K). It needs no commentary. Also ISM on Friday.


    So, we got a big one, and there's a good chance that by the end the string of weak econ data we've been seeing will be confirmed.


    And of course, this is just what we know is coming. Should be a wild one in Europe, too.

    Wer Zeit hat, sollte sich einmal den Kursverlauf des S&P500 nach Ablauf des QE1 Programmes anschauen.


    Gleiches wird von vielen für QE2 erwartet, mit dem grossen Unterschied, dass QE3 nicht mehr helfen wird!

    Markets around the world just turned lower on news that Belgian financial institution Dexia has seen its shares halted pending announcement.


    The company is a big-time lender to European local governments, so that's obviously a huge concern.


    Add this to the Fitch lower of the Japan outlook, and suddenly everything is moving down from earlier highs.


    Update: There's speculation that the news could have someting to do with this recent ZeroHedge story, about a recent bond offering from the company that may be put back to it in light of its Greeece exposure.

    Weiss jemand, wann Optionen auf LinkedIn emittiert werden? Ich möchte schon seit dem IPO shorten, aber finde keine Möglichkeit dazu.

    Swing-Longs soeben glattgestellt (sorry, konnte nicht zeitnah posten da anders beschäftigt).


    Big picture: alles noch korrektiv. Ich habe als guten Longtrigger FDAX 7267, FESX 2836. Dort kann man einen stop-buy reinlegen wenn man will.


    Zu den CH Grossbanken: heute alle shorts glattgestellt. Die Bank vom Uetliberg bereits mit einem Stundenkaufsignal, am Oesi seine Bank - naja - die kommt zur Zeit wieder einmal nicht nach mit Pressemitteilungen und negieren der Gerüchte ;)

    Aber Longsignal fehlt noch. Denke wenn IB Geschichte stimmt, rockt das Teil +20%.


    FX: Swissy - mehr braucht man dazu nicht zu schreiben.

    Guten Morgen


    Darf man dem Kursverlauf des ES glauben, dürften heute erneut Kursgewinne im DAX und ESTX50 anstehen.


    Unterstützung haben wir zur Zeit auch von FX.

    PS: und das 100er Pattern funktioniert im FDAX sehr gut. Eigentlich erstaunlich, wie lange schon. Im ES kann man 10er Schritte wählen.

    Glückwunsch Snooz, ABER ich denke, wir sehen noch höhere Kurse.


    Bspw. hat sich im ESTX50 ein schönes W im W - wie heisst bloss diese Formation? ausgebildet. Das bringt Potential bis 2900 im FESX mit sich!


    Also, alle Posi wieder auf lang gedreht - was für ein "*ç%"%" Tag, -4k :(
