    ADB to Further Support the tru2way Development Community at The Cable Show 2008. Booth 841.


    17 May 2008 – Geneva, Switzerland and Chicago, USA: Advanced Digital Broadcast, a leading supplier of digital TV systems and software solutions for interactive television, announced today that it is supporting tru2way™ developers during the tru2way developer conference which kicks off The Cable Show 2008. ADB was invited to provide ADB-7822C set-top boxes as part of its sponsorship of the event to ensure that software and applications developers have access to the most powerful tools to enable production of advanced, OCAP™ applications for the drive to fully interactive tru2way, next generation cable networks in the US. The units are fully integrated with tru2way middleware from ADB Group’s affiliates Vidiom (http://www.vidiom.tv) and Osmosys (http://www.osmosys.tv ) to provide a complete end-to-end software development kit (SDK). The conference is to be held on 17 and 18 May at the Morial Convention Centre, 2nd Level, Rooms 253-254 and has been created in partnership between Vidiom and CableLabs®.


    ADB has ensured strong and comprehensive support for applications developers for a number of years, supplying both standard (SD) and high definition (HD) products to enable the development community to author and test new, interactive applications to CableLabs® unique specifications. ADB’s latest platform the ADB-7822C HD has been specifically designed with developers in mind, incorporating tru2way technology. The high-performance unit can be used for both application software testing and for end-to-end tru2way lab testing. The ADB-7822C HD is OpenCable™ Host 2.0 compliant, incorporates a Multi-Stream CableCARD™ Host 2.0 Interface and provides HD and SD support for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (H.264) and SMPTE-421M (WM9-AP).

    ADB CERTIFIED AND READY FOR TRU2WAY(TM) TECHNOLOGY AT THE CABLE SHOW 2008


    18 May 2008 - Geneva, Switzerland and Chicago, USA: Advanced Digital Broadcast (http://www.adbglobal.com), a leading supplier of digital TV systems and software solutions for interactive television, announced today that it will showcase a full range of advanced product solutions for cable multi system operators (MSOs) at The Cable Show 2008, New Orleans, USA, 18-20 May. The highlight of this years show will be the launch of ADB's tru2way(TM) certified product the ADB-4820C. The company will present a full range of products for MSOs including, fully featured, high definition (HD), home networking enabled set-top boxes (STBs) and digital video recorders (DVRs) incorporating tru2way technology. The company also announced that Tim Schermerhorn, a highly experienced industry leader, has been recruited to drive ADB's digital cable business in the USA. Tim brings significant experience from the cable industry where he has held senior management positions with companies such as Motorola, General Instrument and Cable and Wireless.



    ADB will also present its latest solution for the tru2way development community, the ADB-7822C, a high performance unit providing software developers and MSOs with a flexible and powerful suite of tools for the development and testing of OCAP(TM) software applications. Developed in close collaboration with leaders in OCAP software development Vidiom Systems (http://www.vidiom.tv) and Osmosys (http://www.osmosys.tv), the developer kit is already acting as a catalyst in the drive to creating fully interactive and flexible tru2way cable networks.

    ADB-4820C HD A fully interactive, unique set-top box optimized for the next generation cable networks incorporating tru2way technology. The unit is the first to be fully tru2way certified and features a high-speed DOCSIS® return channel to support high-bandwidth two-way communications for Video on Demand (VoD), secure application download and delivery of current and future advanced applications and services.



    ADB-6882CX HD: A powerful and fully interactive media center with DVR functionality optimized for US cable networks. The unit supports high-quality digital recording and playback, allowing users to be in complete control of their television experience and benefits from advanced features such as watch one program & record up to three programs simultaneously. The product is DLNA certified(TM), ensuring that it can act as a home networking server or client over Ethernet and MoCA(TM) interfaces.



    ADB-6822 HD: Originating from the same powerful platform as the ADB-6882CX, the ADB-6822C is a fully interactive STB optimized for next generation cable networks. The fashionable HD unit supports multiple tru2way applications and multi-room home networking allowing it to share content throughout the home.



    ADB-7822C HD: A STB designed specifically for the software development community incorporating tru2way(TM) technology. The high-performance unit can be used both for application software testing and for end-to-end tru2way lab testing.



    All products are fully integrated with OCAP software from Vidiom and Osmosys ensuring compatibility with the new generation of digital cable networks and feature DOCSIS technology to enable a high level of interactivity to drive advanced services into and around the home.

    ADB's announcement that it has recruited Tim Schermerhorn to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of ADB Americas Cable Business Unit highlights ADB's commitment to the US cable market. In this strategic role, Tim will be directly responsible for the growth of ADB's US cable business, including the expansion of its current range of tru2way ready digital cable STBs.



    Tim brings over eighteen years of marketing, sales, product management, and new business development experience in the cable and telecoms arena. Prior to joining ADB he was Senior Director of the professional services business at Motorola. During his sixteen year career there he was also Senior Director of Emerging Markets, Director of Marketing for Europe Middle East & Africa. Prior to Motorola's acquisition of General Instrument Schermerhorn was Director of Marketing for GI's Transmission networks business, National Account Director for Comcast and Regional sales representative in Latin America. Prior to joining GI he was a sales representative for Cable & Wireless, PLC.

    ne... nein nein.. aber nach so eine kurzfristige steigung war es ja zu erwarten, dass es wieder sinkt.. da sollte man bisschen flexible traden (bei 28 - 34 wird es wohl nicht vieles ausmachen, auch wenn man langfristig investieren möchte). werde bald wieder einige kaufen. wie gesagt, ADBN ist mein favorit in meinem depot :)

    jetzt sind keine weiteren breaking news mehr zu erwarten. die aktie wird sich weiterhin im range 28 zu 35 bewegen. bei den h108 zahlen im august gibt's dann ne guidance erhöhung und dann sollte dann die post abegehen.

    Ich lasse das ADB auch einfach in meinem Depot liegen..

    Der Wein muss ja bekanntlich auch reifen.

    Wird schon, ich bin immer noch zuversichtlich.. die Produktion ist am Limit.. Ich freue mich regelrecht auf die Halbjahreszahlen!!!!!

    finde es gut, dass Du lange warten kannst. Bin noch seit langem dabei, habe leider immer noch kein geduld..... aber es wird tag zu tag besser (solange ich keine UBS aktien kaufe :) ... spass bei seite)
