    FDA approval decision date for Pozen's(POZN) pain drug Vimovo.


    Reasons why we believe Vimovo will be approved on April 30, 2010:


    1. Esomeprazole (approved in a delayed release form as Nexium) is already approved for combination use with naproxen (an approved OTC drug at lower doses).


    2. Phase III program met primary endpoint and was conducted under a special protocol assessment (SPA).


    3. Significant unmet medical need for patients given the withdrawal of Vioxx and Bextra.


    4. ACC & ACG both recommend gastro-protectant for patients taking daily NSAIDs.


    5. FDA compared benchmark NSAID safety to naproxen back during the Cox-II issues in 2005. Vioxx was removed from the market and many on the FDA felt as though naproxen + PPI was a safer alternative.

    FDA Zulassung ist auf den 30.04.2010 vorgesehen. Die Daten für Viomovo sind stark. Für Astra Zeneca und Pozen Inc. ist dies ein Schlüsselprodukt, wenn zuegelassen auf dem amerikanischen und später auf dem europäischen Markt.

    Grüde warum ich glaube das POZN die Zulassung für VIMOVO erhalten wird:


    - VIMOVO ist ein Schlüsselprodukt für Astra Zeneca, den bestehenden Partner von Pozen. (SOMX hat zum Beispiel keinen Partner und konnte darum auch nicht weiter steigen).


    - Die FDA ist involviert in dieses Produkt und möchte einen Erfolg sehen. Ausserdem besteht ziwschen der FDA und Pozen eine stätige Kommunikation.

    - Pozen ist ein schuldenfreies Unternehmen und die Aktienstruktur sowie das Balance Sheet zeigen einen möglichen Preisanstieg auf 20$ mit Zunahme an Interesse für die Fima je näher wenn wir dem FDA Termin kommen (30.04.10) unddarüber hinaus mit der Zulassung für Europa.

    Von der technischen Seite her haben wir nun den gestern erwähnten Kanal verlassen, leider nach unten anstatt nach oben. Es gibt noch ein Gap zu schliessen bei ca 9.80$, dies könnte in den nächsten Tagen geschehen. Ich hoffe noch auf ein paar günstige Aktien und werde zukaufen bei schwächen. Noch 13 Handelstage bis zur Zulassung, welche am letzten Freitag im Monat April stattfinden wird.

    Kursziel von 12-14$ am 30 April und danach 15-20$ mit der Europa Zulassung. mal sehn..

    Nachdem ich meine Aktien von POZN letzte Woche mit lediglich 6% statt den möglichen 17% abgegeben habe, werde ich wieder einsteigen. Wie gesagt glauben auch Analysten stark an eine Zulassung. Dabei würde der Kurs meiner Meinung nach bis um die 13-15 USD kurzfristig steigen. (Je nach Euphorie und Interesse)

    Welcome on Board equity. Versuche selbst noch ein paar POZN bei 10.1 reinzukriegen. Vielleicht klappts ja noch...
