AMBAC zur Zeit mit rund 4.50% im Plus. So schlimm kann diese News also nicht sein. Unbestritten ist, dass der Laden objektiv betrachtet pleite ist. Aber totgeglaubte leben länger........ Zumindest hoffe ich dies für die Investierten. Ich habe den Titel ebenfalls auf meiner Watchliste.

Ich nehme an der Stift hat ein Rechenfehler gemacht und Milliarden mit Millionen verwechselt. In dem Sauladen ist doch alles möglich. AnyWay der Kurs steigt und keiner weiss warum. event. auch nur weill durch die Meldund von der Verschiebung ein Zeihen gegeben wurde das die Bude noch lebt

S&P cuts Ambac Assurance's ratings to 'R'

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Standard & Poor's Ratings Services on Thursday revised Ambac Assurance Corp.'s counterparty credit and financial strength ratings to R from CC. "We took this action following a directive by the Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Wisconsin," said David Veno, an S&P credit analyst. The directive is for Ambac to establish a separate account for certain insured exposure, mostly policies related to credit derivatives, residential mortgage-backed securities, and other structured finance transactions. "It is our understanding that a plan for rehabilitation of the segregated account calls for cessation of claim payments on this exposure," the ratings agency said. S&P also expressed concerns that such a move will favor one class of policyholders over another.

Total net loss and loss expenses were $385.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2009, down from $916.4 million in the final quarter of 2009, Ambac reported.

Ambac jumped 51% to 97 cents in after-hours trading Thursday.

Ambac, one of the world's largest bond insurers, has been hit hard by losses from mortgage-related guarantees it sold during the housing-market boom of the last decade. When the real-estate market collapsed, Ambac was left paying big claims on those guarantees.

Last month, the regulator of Ambac's main bond-insurance subsidiary seized a big chunk of its business to protect hundreds of billions of dollars in guarantees on municipal bonds. See Read about Ambac "amputation."

Shares of Ambac dropped after the seizure was announced and recently traded near 50 cents. The company's stock traded close to $100 before the financial crisis.

Was glaubst Du wieviele den heutigen Hüpfer als Chance zum Ausstieg wahrnehmen werden ? Von daher, ......... da hast Du noch genügend Zeit einzusteigen. Ob gerade zu einem historischen Tief, oder doppelt so hoch spielt dabei keine Rolle. Insbesondeere dann nicht wenn man sich vergegenwärltigt von woher der Titel kam.

Also geh es ruhig an. Die nächste Chance kommt garantiert schon recht bald !!!!
